1. Who we are
SiteSpruce provides website design, hosting, domain support, maintenance and related online services for small and local businesses.
You can contact us at sitespruce@proton.me or by calling 07840 591464.
2. These terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you use our website, enquire about our services, or purchase services from SiteSpruce. By agreeing to work with us, you agree to these terms unless we agree something different in writing.
3. Our services
Our services may include:
- Website design and build.
- Website hosting and SSL setup.
- Website maintenance and content updates.
- Local SEO setup and basic online presence support.
- Domain registration, connection, management or support.
- Contact forms and basic website functionality.
4. Plans and pricing
Our website may show monthly plans and prices. Prices, plan features and availability may change from time to time, but any agreed price for your active plan will be confirmed with you before work starts.
Unless stated otherwise, monthly fees cover the agreed website service, hosting, maintenance and support level for your plan.
5. No build fee offer
Where we offer a free website build, this means we do not charge an upfront build fee for the agreed website as part of a monthly SiteSpruce plan. Any extra features, major redesigns, specialist integrations or work outside the agreed scope may cost extra, but we will discuss this with you before carrying out chargeable additional work.
6. What we need from you
To build and maintain your website, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including text, images, business details, contact information, branding materials and any legal information your website needs.
You are responsible for making sure any content you provide is accurate, lawful, and that you have the rights to use it.
7. Timelines
We aim to complete most standard websites quickly, often within 5–7 business days once we have everything we need from you. Timelines are estimates and may change depending on project size, response times, revisions, technical issues or third-party delays.
8. Revisions and updates
We want your website to be right. Your plan may include content updates and support. Routine updates can include things like text changes, image swaps, opening hours, contact details and similar content edits.
Major redesigns, new advanced features, large structural changes or work outside your plan may require a separate quote.
9. Domains
Where a domain is included in your SiteSpruce plan, we may register, connect or manage that domain for you as part of the service. If you cancel your plan, domain arrangements will be discussed with you, including whether the domain can be transferred, renewed separately, or allowed to expire.
Premium, high-demand or unusually expensive domains may not be included in standard pricing unless agreed in writing.
10. Hosting and third-party services
We may use third-party providers for hosting, domains, forms, email, analytics, security or other technical services. We are not responsible for outages, failures, pricing changes or restrictions caused by third-party providers, but we will take reasonable steps to help resolve issues affecting your service.
11. Payments
You agree to pay the fees confirmed for your plan or service. Monthly fees are payable as agreed with you. If a payment is late or fails, we may pause updates, support or service access until payment is resolved.
12. Cancellation
Unless we agree a fixed term in writing, our monthly plans are intended to be flexible and can be cancelled by giving notice. Cancellation will stop future monthly billing, but you remain responsible for any unpaid amounts already due.
After cancellation, hosting, maintenance, updates, support and included services may stop. We can discuss options for transferring your website files or domain where appropriate.
13. Ownership and licence
Unless agreed otherwise, you own the business content you provide to us, such as your logo, text, photos and business information.
Website designs, layouts, code, templates, processes and systems created or used by SiteSpruce may remain owned by SiteSpruce or its licensors. We grant you permission to use the finished website while your service is active and paid for.
14. Acceptable use
You must not use our services for unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, infringing or malicious purposes. We may refuse or suspend services if we believe a website or client activity could breach laws, rights, platform rules, or cause harm to SiteSpruce, users or third parties.
15. Liability
We aim to provide a reliable and professional service, but we cannot guarantee that a website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or achieve specific business results, rankings, leads or sales.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SiteSpruce will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, loss of reputation, or losses caused by third-party services, client-provided content, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
16. Consumer rights
If you are acting as a consumer rather than as a business, you may have legal rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms is intended to reduce rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
17. Changes to services or terms
We may update our services, pricing and these terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page. If changes materially affect an active service, we will take reasonable steps to let affected clients know.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If there is a dispute, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless applicable law says otherwise.
19. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, contact us at sitespruce@proton.me.
