This policy explains what personal information SiteSpruce ("we") collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. SiteSpruce is run by George, a sole trader trading as SiteSpruce, who is responsible for your information.

What we collect
If you use the contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name, business name, email address, phone number (optional), the plan you're interested in and your message. If you email or call, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about your website. The lawful basis is that you asked us to, as a step before we might agree to work together, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- If you become a customer, to provide the service and keep basic business records, as the law requires.
We will never sell your information or add you to a mailing list without your permission.
Who else handles it
- Netlify hosts this website and stores contact form messages. Netlify is based in the USA, so your data may be processed there, protected by the safeguards in Netlify's data processing terms.
- Proton provides our email. Form messages are forwarded to our inbox.
How long we keep it
If we don't end up working together, we delete enquiry details within 12 months. Customer records are kept for as long as UK law requires (normally 6 years for financial records).
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Just email us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
